Summary

The “Empower of youth” project is a youth exchange , created by the youth from Poland, Czechia, Greece and Italy. The project aims is to promote volunteering. It is also about self-development and self-awareness of young people about their skills and competences. The essence of it is to make young people aware that they need to develop. During the exchange participants will be able to practice their abilities in practice. During workshop and field games they will be able to know themselves.

Also experience in meeting with volunteers will open up new opportunities for them. The aim of our project is to promote by us and our colleagues the competences necessary for active participation in social and professional life. We want this project to be able to focus on personal development and activation in professional life.
The basic goal is to increase our chances on the labor market by realizing what key competences and soft skills are and how to stimulate them. We want to show alternative opportunities to gain knowledge and experience-volunteering Young people, aged 16-19, will take part in it, representing organizations from four European countries: the Czech Republic, Italy, Greece and Poland. A total of 37 people. We will be very culturally diverse. Most of the participants will belong to young people with fewer opportunities due to social, economic and geographical obstacles. The Greek group will involve people from the refugee community. All workshops and meetings will be conducted through non-formal education, with the active participation of all participants.

The result of the project will be films, posters, iconographies promoting competence , selfdevelopment and volunteering. There will be also special promotional campaigns which will be prepare by participants. They can use it to promote their work on exchange. In addition, after analyzing the situation in their cities and regions regarding the situation of volunteering, the participants decided to prepare VOLUNTEERING STRATEGIES FOR TOWNS. It will be a summary of their research and work during the exchange. Strategies will be guidelines and point out good practices from other cities. Participants will also work with the road map method in creating a volunteer route and creating a volunteer code. We expect real impact on the local community in our cities and region. Participants will work better in their local environments.
